About the role
A Business Development Executive (BDE) drives business growth by identifying new opportunities, managing customer relationships, and running the complete sales process end to end. The BDE is the bridge between customers, the sales team and internal departments — making sure every customer gets professional guidance and every application is processed accurately. The role calls for strong communication, coordination, documentation and follow-up skills.
Lead management
Review all leads from Sales Executives or marketing campaigns, verify customer interest, and evaluate business requirements to identify the right products or services. Every lead is prioritised, tracked in the CRM, and followed up until it converts into a sale or is closed with proper documentation.
Customer communication
Connect with customers by phone, WhatsApp, email, online meetings or in person. Explain services, business loan products, registration services, compliance solutions, eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, timelines and fees — so customers understand what's available before they proceed.
Document & application verification
Examine KYC documents, business registration certificates, PAN, Aadhaar, GST documents, bank statements, financial statements and income proofs for authenticity, completeness and accuracy, coordinating with customers on any corrections needed. Review all application details — personal, business, turnover and financial data — resolving discrepancies before the application moves to Operations or Credit.
Payment coordination
Inform customers about processing charges, service fees and documentation fees per company policy, then coordinate with Accounts to confirm payment and keep CRM payment records up to date.
CRM & follow-up
Maintain complete, accurate customer records — every call, meeting, document, payment update and status change — in the CRM. Follow up regularly so no inquiry goes unanswered and every application keeps moving until it's complete.
Case management & team support
Assemble complete case files — documents, forms, evidence and payment confirmations — before handing off to Operations or Credit, and stay engaged through processing to resolve issues. Also support Sales Executives by reviewing their leads, guiding them on tricky cases, and helping improve conversion.
Targets & reporting
Own monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals by converting leads, growing revenue, generating repeat business and referrals. Prepare regular reports on leads, sales performance, verification status, pending and completed cases, and team performance to help management make informed decisions.
Collaboration & compliance
Work closely with Sales, Customer Support, Operations, Credit, Accounts, Compliance, Legal and Management to keep the customer journey smooth and delay-free. Maintain confidentiality, follow company policy and regulatory requirements, and represent CapitalBox with honesty and integrity in every interaction.
