Service Fee (Starting)
₹14,999 + GST
Payable at the start of the engagement; actual fee depends on ISO standard and scope
Certification Body & Audit Charges
Extra
Government fees, certification body charges and audit fees are not included

1Nature of Service

CapitalBox acts as a consultancy and facilitation service to assist businesses in obtaining ISO Certification from an accredited certification body. CapitalBox is not an accreditation board or certification body, and does not itself grant, issue, or approve any ISO certificate.

The role of CapitalBox is limited to standard consultation and eligibility assessment, preparing and organising the required documentation, assisting with application processing, coordinating with the chosen certification body, and providing audit support and compliance guidance until the certificate is issued. Engaging CapitalBox's services does not guarantee a specific processing timeline or certification outcome, as this depends on the certification body's audit and assessment process.

2Service Fee

The Service Fee starts at ₹14,999 + GST and is payable at the time the customer initiates the ISO certification process, before consultation and documentation work commences. The exact fee depends on the ISO standard chosen (for example ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, or ISO 27001), the size and scope of the business, and the certification body selected.

This fee covers CapitalBox's professional consultancy and facilitation charges only. Government fees, certification body charges, audit fees, and any additional documentation or compliance charges, if applicable, are extra and payable separately as intimated during the engagement.

3What the Fee Covers

The Service Fee specifically covers:

  • ISO standard consultation and eligibility assessment for the customer's business
  • Documentation guidance and preparation support, including gap assessment against the chosen standard
  • Application processing assistance for submission to the selected certification body
  • Coordination with the certification body throughout the assessment process
  • Audit support and compliance guidance, including preparation for the certification audit
  • Certification status updates until the process is completed

4Refund & Cancellation

The Service Fee is non-refundable once the engagement has been initiated and consultation, documentation, or application work has commenced, as it represents the cost of services already rendered by CapitalBox.

If a customer wishes to withdraw before any application has been submitted to a certification body, they may request cancellation in writing; any refund in such cases, if applicable, shall be at the sole discretion of CapitalBox and may be subject to a deduction towards work already performed.

5Important Information

CapitalBox is a certification facilitation and consultancy service provider and does not itself issue any ISO certificate. All assessments, audits, and certification decisions rest exclusively with the accredited certification body engaged for the process.

Final audit outcome, certificate issuance, and processing timeline are determined solely by the certification body, based on their own independent assessment and audit process. CapitalBox has no control over, and makes no assurance regarding, exact certification dates or audit outcomes, though indicative timelines are shared for guidance and typically range from a few weeks to a few months depending on the ISO standard and business readiness.

Customers are advised to independently verify the certificate and its scope once issued by the certification body.

6Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing accurate, complete and truthful information and documentation for the purpose of certification, including business registration details, process and operational information, and existing quality or compliance records. CapitalBox relies on the information provided by the customer and is not responsible for any delay, non-conformance, or rejection arising from incomplete, incorrect, or misleading information or documents furnished by the customer.

The customer is also responsible for implementing the required processes and corrective actions ahead of the certification body's audit, and for reviewing the certificate issued once received, promptly informing CapitalBox of any discrepancy for correction.

7Data & Privacy

Personal and business information shared by the customer will be used by CapitalBox solely for the purpose of processing the ISO certification request and may be shared with the relevant certification body as necessary to complete the assessment and certification. CapitalBox takes reasonable measures to protect customer data in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

8Limitation of Liability

CapitalBox shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from delay in assessment or audit scheduling by the certification body, rejection or non-conformance arising from incorrect information supplied by the customer, changes in certification body policy or fee structure, or any act or omission of the certification body or accreditation authority. CapitalBox's liability, where applicable, shall in no event exceed the amount of fees actually paid by the customer to CapitalBox for the specific service in question.

9Fair Practices Code

CapitalBox commits to the following standards while assisting customers with ISO certification:

  • All fees, charges and the basis of calculation are disclosed upfront, in writing, before the customer makes any payment
  • No customer is misled about the mandatory or optional nature of certification, or about audit timelines and outcomes
  • Customer information is used only for the purpose of certification facilitation and is not sold or shared for unrelated marketing purposes
  • Genuine complaints are acknowledged and addressed within a reasonable and communicated timeframe
  • Communication with customers is conducted in clear, simple language, avoiding misleading claims about processing speed or certification benefits
This Code reflects CapitalBox's own service commitment as a facilitator. It does not substitute any statutory or accreditation obligation that a certification body or accreditation authority is independently required to follow.

10Grievance Redressal

In case of any concern, complaint, or dispute relating to the services rendered by CapitalBox, customers may raise the matter through the official contact channels provided by CapitalBox. CapitalBox will endeavour to acknowledge and address genuine grievances within a reasonable timeframe.

11Legal Compliance & Governing Law

Services are provided under, and this document is governed by, applicable Indian laws. The relevance of each law to CapitalBox's ISO certification facilitation services is explained below:

Indian Contract Act, 1872

Governs the contractual relationship between CapitalBox and the customer. It applies because the moment a customer pays the Service Fee and agrees to these terms, a valid contract is formed — this Act defines how that agreement is made, what makes it enforceable, and what happens if either party fails to honour its obligations (breach of contract).

Consumer Protection Act, 2019

Applies because the customer is availing a paid service (certification facilitation) from CapitalBox, making them a "consumer" under law. This Act protects customers against unfair trade practices, misleading claims about services, and deficiency in service, and gives them the right to approach a Consumer Forum if the facilitation service is not delivered as promised.

⬇ Download Act PDF (India Code)

Information Technology Act, 2000

Applies because much of the certification process — document upload, online application, digital communication with the certification body, status tracking, and online fee payment — happens electronically. This Act gives legal recognition to electronic records, digital signatures, and online transactions, and governs matters like data security, unauthorized access, and electronic contract validity.

⬇ Download Act PDF (India Code)

Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

Applies because CapitalBox collects and processes personal and business data of the customer (business registration details, contact details, process documentation) for facilitation and for sharing with the certification body. This Act regulates how such personal data must be collected, used, stored, and protected, and requires CapitalBox to obtain consent and safeguard the data against misuse.

Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016

Applies because ISO certification in India operates within a broader standards and conformity assessment framework in which the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and accreditation bodies such as the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) play a role. This Act is relevant to understanding how certification bodies are accredited and how standards-related certification is recognised in India.

Companies Act, 2013

Applies where the customer is a registered company (Private Limited Company, One Person Company, LLP, etc.) seeking ISO certification, as such entities are governed by this Act for their corporate structure, records, and disclosures — some of which may be referenced during documentation and audit preparation.

⬇ Download Act PDF (India Code)

Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017

Applies where the customer's business is registered under GST, or where GST registration details form part of the documentation reviewed during certification facilitation. This Act governs GST registration, invoicing, and return-filing obligations, and is also the basis on which GST is charged on the Service Fee itself.

⬇ Download Act PDF (India Code)

Income Tax Act, 1961

Applies because business income and expenses, including certification-related costs, are reported by the customer under this Act. This Act governs how such income and expenditure are computed, taxed, and filed, and is why PAN details form part of the documentation collected during onboarding.

⬇ Download Act PDF (India Code)

Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006

Applies where a customer's business deals in food products and seeks food-safety-related ISO certification (such as ISO 22000), in which case compliance with FSSAI requirements runs alongside the ISO certification process. This Act governs food business licensing, standards, and safety compliance relevant to such certifications.

Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002

Applies because collecting KYC and business identity documents (PAN, business registration proof, authorised signatory details) as part of onboarding is handled in line with India's broader identity-verification and anti-money-laundering framework, particularly where payment and invoicing are involved.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the location of CapitalBox's registered place of business.

CapitalBox reserves the right to update or modify these terms, fees, or the scope of services at any time, including in response to changes in certification body fee structures or requirements. Any material changes will be communicated through the website or other official channels, and continued use of the services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
