1What is Success Fee?

The Success Fee is a professional charge that becomes payable only when a loan application is approved by a Bank or NBFC and the sanctioned amount is successfully disbursed into the applicant's bank account. It is performance-based — meaning CapitalBox's consultancy services are rewarded only when the client achieves the desired outcome: loan disbursement.

2Fee Rate & Calculation

The Success Fee is charged at 3% of the sanctioned / disbursed loan amount. For loan amounts up to ₹10,00,000, the Success Fee is charged as per the applicable rate under the selected service plan. For loan amounts exceeding ₹10,00,000, the applicable Success Fee may vary based on the sanctioned amount and will be communicated to the applicant before completion of the process.

3When is Success Fee Applicable?

  • Charged only after successful disbursement of the sanctioned loan amount
  • Not payable if the loan application is rejected by the lender
  • Not payable if the sanctioned amount is not disbursed for any reason
  • Ensures applicants are not burdened with charges for unsuccessful applications

5Legal & Compliance Basis

Indian Contract Act, 1872

Recognizes performance-based contractual consideration — the Success Fee is only payable on achievement of a defined outcome (disbursement), which this Act supports as valid consideration in a contract.

GST Act, 2017

The Success Fee is a taxable consultancy charge and is subject to applicable GST provisions, charged extra over the quoted fee.

RBI Regulatory Framework

Lending decisions — approval, sanction amount, interest rate, and disbursement — remain solely with the partner Bank/NBFC, in line with RBI's regulatory framework for lenders.

Consumer Protection Act, 2019

Ensures transparency and upfront disclosure of consultancy charges to the applicant, protecting them against unfair or undisclosed fee practices.

6Common Misconceptions

  • Success Fee is not a hidden charge
  • Success Fee does not guarantee loan approval
  • Success Fee is strictly a consultancy charge for services provided until disbursement

7Important Disclaimer

CapitalBox is not a Bank or NBFC. It operates as an independent finance consultancy and facilitation platform. All loan approvals, sanction amounts, interest rates, repayment tenures, and disbursement decisions are determined solely by the respective Bank or NBFC.

The Success Fee is charged exclusively for consultancy, documentation assistance, application management, lender coordination, and facilitation services. It should not be construed as a charge for granting a loan.

8Client Assurance

This two-step fee model ensures accountability and fairness. Clients first pay the Service/Application Activation Fee for activation of services, and later pay only the Success Fee upon successful outcomes — i.e., only when the loan is sanctioned and disbursed.

The Success Fee aligns the interests of both CapitalBox and the client, as payment is due only when funds are successfully disbursed. This performance-based model builds trust, transparency, and confidence in the loan facilitation process.
